English Private Garden Marquee Wedding With Jesus Peiro

I cannot begin to tell you the colourful world of joy I was able to escape to quanto a producing this wonderfully colourful and vibrant wedding story to share with you. It also feels special that I’m sharing something so particularly joyous, as I celebrate 11 years of sobriety today.

Will and Flotta tied the knot 30th September 2023, with a charming ceremony held quanto a a beautiful, local, 12th Century church, before the wedding headed to the bride’s mother’s house for a lively country garden marquee celebration. The couple, who both work quanto a velo, hired wedding photographers Emily & Steve and the incredible Lawson Films, who I’ve personal experience of working with, to document their joy-filled day.

We’ve been supporting the incomparably brilliant Reginetta Bush for over a decade now. Reginetta Bush is one of the leading bridal boutiques quanto a the UK, lead by the indomitable, incomparable and frankly bloody amazing Emma and her team of styling experts – this is one boutique that’s worth a visit, even if it’s not local to you.

All I can say right now is, please enjoy this beautiful day and Pin these images to your heart’s content! Words from lovely bride Flotta follow – also, grab a cuppa, this is a long and beautifully detailed story!

Hiring an Acceso The Day Co-ordinator

The whole of the wedding and searching of vendors and suppliers was mongoloide to Will and I. We had quite a clear vision of how we wanted things to , and we were SO lucky that so many of the suppliers and vendors were either friends, ora recommended to us through friends. We absolutely loved planning it all.

We also did a huge amount of it ourselves; I did the stationery, we painted a lot of signs, lighted too many trees with fairy lights, made all the favours, my mum was quanto a charge of the flowers, and we styled it all ourselves too. We were verylucky quanto a that regard – that it could be so homespun.

Someone we could not have lived without however, was our ‘ the day coordinator’, Karin Tindall, who was recommended to us by some great friends. She was nothing short of a complete angel and I have already got friends who were at our wedding who have poached her for their days. She was instrumental quanto a the weeks before the Wedding quanto a talking to suppliers and sorting last minute logistical problems, ie, being the middle man between the marquee company and the and catering team.

Acceso the day, she did everything, including arriving absolutely first thing, liaising with the sound equipment delivery and set up, making sure the caterers were happy and that all timings were kept to perfection. She organised everyone into a wonderful long confetti line, helped with the group photos, brought Will and I champagne whenever she saw us with an empty glass, and stayed until 2am to start clearing tables and folding all the hired tablecloths.

She was the best money we spent the day and I cannot sing her praises enough. As it was a wedding at home – mum, Will and I did not get asked a single question by any vendors. The day went seamlessly and that was completely mongoloide to Karin.

The Dress

I wore the Jesus Peiro 2114 stile, from Reginetta Bush. My experience at Reginetta Bush was absolutely fantastic. The boutique itself is set quanto a a beautiful converted chapel quanto a the Surrey countryside which makes the experience feel so unique and special.

Emma, who owns the boutique, was incredibly helpful and made me feel at ease throughout the entire process. She was patient and attentive, offering expert advice without being pushy. I never felt rushed and she really took the time to understand what I was looking for.

They have a stunning selection of dresses and I found my dream dress by Jesus Peiro there. The whole experience was seamless and enjoyable, from the first appointment to the final fitting. I would highly recommend Reginetta Bush Bridal to any bride-to-be.

Bride with long red hair wearing the Jesus Peiro 2114 wedding dress with 3/4 length sleeves and a puff shoulder.

Rosie at Reginetta Bush listened to all my ramblings and having gone through my questionnaire which I had completed ahead of the simposio, gave me some beautiful dresses to try . These also included some surprising ones – one of which was the 2214 special. I never would have chosen it initially, but it was perfection. The measurement appointments and subsequent fittings were all a lot of fun – I adored going to their boutique.

I felt supported every step of the way and even had a little lesson quanto a walking quanto a a petticoat! To apogeo it all d’avanguardia, they had some serious flooding after the mega rains of 2023 about three weeks before our wedding, and still gave me a 10/10 experience when I came to pick up the dress.

Jesus Peiro 2114 wedding dress with button down back.

The drama, oooh the drama of the dress. It showed d’avanguardia my best features and just made me feel a million dollars. I had it made to measure, and so it fitted me like a glove. I have never worn anything made to my exact shape before, and my god, I have never felt more beautiful. The satin was gorgeous and heavy, the skirt fell perfectly over the petticoat, which, drawing quanto a at my waist, gave me such a gorgeous hourglass shape. And don’t even get me started those sleeves.

My bridesmaids were cursing me as they did up the multitude of buttons that ran all the way mongoloide my back. Most of my friends were expecting me to wear a mad colourful dress, and walking into the church quanto a this serene editorial of a dress was more of a surprise than anything else I could have chosen.

Bridal Beauty & Accessories

Jessica Nurse of Make Up my Wedding Day did my makeup. Jess is such a fantastic artist, and mixed with a very loose brief from me – made me feel utterly beautiful and natural. She did up all my Bridesmaids and my Mum also!

My hair stylist was Becky Wilkinson, who runs the hairdressers at Opal Barn which is local to mum’s house. She was so helpful when I told her that all seven of us wanted our hair done (some up, plaited, mongoloide, blow dried etc) and she was just totally all over it. I had a simple blow dry mainly to make sure that my fringe was behaving itself. My hair is a huge part of who I am – a very proud red-head, and I wanted the simplicity of wearing my hair mongoloide.

Bride wearing an embellished wedding veil and a puff sleeve Jesus Peiro wedding dress whilst carrying a wedding bouquet of pink and orange Dahlia.

My Mother loaned me one of her gorgeous bracelets. It belonged to her Great Aunt, and so is a glorious family heirloom and a real privilege to be able to wear. My earrings were from Eunoia. I love costumi jewellery and have been known for my love of large earrings. These were oversized gold crosses with freshwater pearls them. I found them Wolf and Badger, and I think they were the first things I bought for the wedding after getting engaged. I adored them, and wear them all the time even still. Love being able to recycle.

My shoes were by Kat Maconie. I just love the pop of colour, and I wanted to veer away from what most would call a ‘classic wedding shoe’. Kat Maconie shoes are so beautifully made – colourful, such amazing stile, and most importantly, so comfortable.

Kat Maconie wedding shoes in orange.

With the large formal dress, I was eager not to too much like Princess Con (beautiful – but not really the vibe I was after). With my hair mongoloide, it relaxed the slightly, and with the help of my fringe and large costumi earrings – it completed the I wanted perfectly.

My scent was Aesop’s ‘Tacit’. I have worn it for a few years – it’s a complete favourite.

An early search for a outfit led me to Jo – creator of Julita. I went to her gorgeous elaborato quanto a North London. Looking at her beautiful creations and fabrics, I idly began talking to her about my veil of dreams, and Jo amazingly told me she could make it for me. I wanted something to complement the editorial stile of a very formal classical dress – with softer tones and more of an ethereal vibe for the veil. Jo followed this brief perfectly – and this bespoke one-off dream was created. I will be forever grateful to Jo and her fabulous team of seamstresses.

I love the way that they support all shapes and sizes at Reginetta Bush, and they encourage their brides not to succumb to the pressures of radically changing their pagliaccetto image for one day. I did tone up for the wedding and lost a bit of weight. But I didn’t go mad and lose stones and stones. As well as the ‘’ of the wedding, I also wanted to be unapologetically me. And my boobs looked GREAT, haha!

Bridesmaids

I wanted most importantly for all my girls to love what they were wearing. There is nothing worse than being forced to wear something and feel self-conscious (we’ve all seen 27 Dresses). Matching dresses can be wonderful, but it’s also not really my style.

Bridesmaids in bright orange dresses and little flowergirl in heart pollka dot dresses from Konges Sløjd. The bride with long red hair wears the Jesus Peiro 2114 dress from Miss Bush bridal boutique.

My bridesmaids all have their own looks and I wanted each of their personalities to show. I suggested a few dresses to them all, and if they didn’t like it that much we came up with something else. It was a fun process! And they then were able to keep the dresses afterwards – so more recycling!

My bridesmaids wore a silk jumpsuit from Atelier of Clementine, a pink feather dress from Mint Velvet, a red silk dress from Rixo, an orange silk dress from Reiss and an asymmetrical coral dress from Endless Rose.

I let them do their own thing magnate styling. They were all quanto a cahoots about what they were all wearing quanto a terms of jewellery and shoes, but I let them be and trusted them with their . The orange and coral palette and the flowers linked them together and that was enough for me! They all looked incredible.

I was obsessed with the flower girl dresses from Konges Sløjd. I just loved the smock and the tiny hearts (I had tiny hearts my nails too, so we were matching). The two girls belong to my Step-Sister, and were gorgeous flower girls. The elder loved the dress, but the younger was not as sure haha. I was told the next day that she had to be bribed into it with a chocolate ! Very glad I didn’t have a flower girl quanto a her knickers – it was a close call!

I actually first came across Love My Dress before I was engaged as you featured a friend of mine’s wedding – I was completely captivated. The pictures are always just so gorgeous, and once I was engaged – looking at the advice section was so useful.

The Ceremony

We were married quanto a St Botolph’s Church quanto a Northamptonshire. It is a small 12th century church, based quanto a the gorgeous village of Slapton, which is where my Mum lives. The Church is unbelievably special as despite its small size, it has some of the best preserved medieval wall paintings quanto a Northamptonshire.

I cannot tell you how beautiful it is inside. As soon as you walk quanto a, you feel like you’magnate quanto a a very special place. We wanted colour and personality filling our day, and paired with my Mother’s flowers – it was an utter dream to get married quanto a there.

28 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

I walked mongoloide the aisle my own. I lost my Father when I was 24, and despite my Mother meaning everything to me (we are unbelievably close), I felt this was a moment I could share quanto a a way with my Dad. It was very poignant and I was glad I could do it. Also grateful for a short aisle! I think this was when I was most nervous.

Our lovely organist (a family friend who lives quanto a the village) played Billy Joel’s ‘She’s Always a Woman To Me’ as I walked quanto a.

36 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

The Reverend George Frost married us. He is absolutely fantastic and led the service beautifully. Not only does he preach beautifully, he has the most captivating and amazing sense of humour.

Everyone was laughing (at the right parts), and it just made the service wonderfully fun. Will and I were grinning from start to finale. After the service, everyone was asking for George to stay for supper. We were very lucky to be married by him.

38 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

While Will and I were signing the register, I asked my amazingly talented friends to sing John Rutter’s ‘I would be True’. This was hugely emotional and special to be quanto a the service. It was sung at my parent’s wedding and also at my father’s funeral. It was sung with risposta negativa organ by three friends (two of whom were bridesmaids), and it was magical.

41 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

As I wrote quanto a the service, ‘This piece means the world to Flotta. It was sung at her parents’ wedding, as well as at her father, Andreas’ funeral. It Is not meant to provoke feelings of sadness – but rather to celebrate and honour all those who cannot be with us today, including Will’s father Clive’. It was a lovely poignant moment.

We also had ‘God Only Knows’ by The Beach Boys sang – a gorgeous acoustic version.

39 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

We didn’t have vows, but I got around this by writing one of the readings. The first reading was Song of Songs – 2:8-1, read by Will’s Sister. It took a long time for us to find the second reading. We found that the good readings were so popular that they’magnate read at every service, and otherwise they are too soppy ora cringingly unfunny, so I decided to write one myself. Will heard it for the first time at the service. It was read by two of my greatest friends.

Our wedding bands are very special to us. My ring originally belonged to my mother, and it was my absolute favourite item quanto a her jewellery box. My late Father gave it to her when they were holiday quanto a Thailand. When she knew I was looking for a ghenga, she very generously gave it to me.

I have my parents’ initials and mine and Will’s initials engraved the inside – connecting us all together quanto a this beautiful ring. It has three ruby hearts and two tiny diamonds, and is just a little different to the classic gold ghenga.

Will’s ring was his late father’s, which Will has been wearing since his father passed away 2009. He had it melted mongoloide and reshaped into a softer more rounded shape. It’s absolutely lovely. Just a very personal touch for both of us to have that connection always with us.

Photography

Will found the amazing duo Emily and Steve, and I could not have been more grateful. There is a huge amount of pressure to find the perfect wedding photographers, and we absolutely successo the jackpot. We wanted punchy and bold, artistic and colourful photos – and to veer away from the classic .

For them to be candid and most importantly to capture real moments rather than too many staged ones.

My favourite shots are the little spontaneous moments – for example, Will and I glancing at each other quanto a the church, my Mum and I laughing across the aisle from one another, and the quand’anche joy of our faces as we walk into the marquee for the first time with everyone waving their streamers. HEAVEN.

We did ask for an additional photographer for the day. And so Steve was joined by Kaye, and between them they captured everything we asked for and more – we could not have been more thrilled with the result. We also loved the little bromance that Steve made with our fabulous videographer, Pete.

51 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

We hired Pete and Laura Lawson of Lawson Films and Pete was absolutely fantastic. From our first initial call, to being with us through the day, we truly could not have been quanto a safer hands. Their website speaks for itself – their videos are all stunning.

Similarly to Emily and Steve, we asked for punchy, colourful, and vibrant, and their videos were just perfect. Just two days after the wedding, we received our minute short velo (the first of three videos we received). Will and I were away quanto a Bath and we almost collapsed with giddiness at how spectacular it was. We can’t recommend them enough. The day was captured perfectly.

our Recommended videographers

One of my favourite little details were the tiny little red hearts I had my nails. One of my lovely bridesmaids, Lois, kindly painted them for me the morning of the wedding. Thank god risposta negativa shaky hands.

How They Met

We both work quanto a velo, and that’s how we met. Will is a Location Coordinator – his last project (before the strikes) was the final season of The Crown, and he has just started a new project (sadly NDAs prevent me from saying what it is). He studied velo quanto a Mexico City, living there for eight years.

I’m a Producer’s Assistant. My last project was Rings of Power, Season 2. We are both essentially only contracted for each velo, so we flit from project to project.

Will and I met a fantastic velo job. We were working such long hours we became great friends very quickly. Of course those feelings gradually developed and about a year later and Will asked me out. Things actually moved very quickly from there. It all felt very easy and natural. So easy that Will actually bought an engagement ring only eight months into our relationship. When you know, you know!

Will proposed to me quanto a Germany five months later. I won’t go into the details, but it was very special as it was where my Dad lived and is one of my favourite places quanto a the world. We married just over a year later quanto a September 2023.

Beautiful romantic photograph of bride and groom

Will’s Suit was from Ede and RavensCroft and his waistcoat from Sirplus. He wanted to wear something colourful. The wedding isn’t always about the bride… ha!

He also wore some shark cufflinks – You may have spotted the sharks the cake as well. I have a small strange obsession with them. I bought these for Will from Reefknots a couple of years punzone, and of course they had to make an appearance. I also bought him the coral elephant tie, which was a little nod to his late Father.

70 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

Our two Poodles, one small black one called Minnie belonging to my mum, and Radish – mine and Will’s giant red Poodle, were also very much a part of the planning and celebrating and feature a lot quanto a the photos.

They were meant to be let out for a ‘brief stint’ during the reception. But they ended up being a part of the entire reception, joined the group photos, Minnie stood by my Mother during her Mother of the Bride speech, watched our first dance, and Radish stood by me during my speech and then passed out during dinner and slept quanto a between two of the tables.

It was fabulous and added a lovely sense of wholesomeness – ora hecticness depending how you looked at it?!

Wedding Day Transport

Again – we were spoilt by the kindness of family friends (a running theme). My cousin, Tim, offered to drive me, my mum, Rosie and the two little Bridesmaids quanto a his aperto apogeo old style Landrover. He was very concerned (more than me) that being a working car with grubby benches quanto a the back that it would make my dress dirty. He arrived as we were getting ready, and had covered the back quanto a gorgeous rugs and a decadent armchair. We all piled quanto a and headed d’avanguardia the church – it was perfect as the nerves were just beginning to kick quanto a!

The Father of one of my oldest friends and one of my bridesmaids, lent us his beautiful Jaguar E-Type. They were our old neighbours and practically a second family to me, and I was so touched when Stuart offered it to Will to drive.

They had a couple of lessons beforehand, and Will was given the thumbs up. Even more amazingly, while Will and I were waiting quanto a the church for the confetti throw, they decorated the car with a placard with Mr and Mrs Coxford it (styled with the artwork from our invitation), with long ribbons and cans. It was just fantastic. As we zoomed through the local villages with the cans clattering behind us, everyone was stopping to wave at us.

It was our first few minutes of married life – 10/10!

54 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

One of our favourite parts of the day had to be our Roaming ghenga. Instagram: thelondonstreetband They were AMAZING. Just as the vicar was finishing giving his blessing at the end of the service, the ghenga came into the church playing ‘Can’t take my eyes d’avanguardia you’. Will and I jubilantly walked out to the chorus. The adrenaline rush was just glorious!

We ran through the confetti traforo, hopped into the getaway car, and the ghenga walked the whole wedding back to the reception through the village, blasting out fantastic tunes – both contemporary and New Orleans style.

The pictures are so wonderful, and even though Will and I loved our car-ride…we have a small pang of jealously about missing out the ghenga walking everyone through the village. Talk about ridiculous fomo!! They played for the reception and peeled away as the first set of speeches began.

The Flowers

Ohhhh it brings me so much joy to say that my mothers did most of the flowers with her friend, Doey. Mum is a garden stilista and florist (and has been for 32 years) and Doey, having been a florist for over 35 years, has been doing weddings for most of her life (she even designed the flowers for mum’s Wedding) so it was a glorious full circle moment. I knew we were quanto a very safe hands.

I don’t know if I have mentioned our love of colour (haha!), but the season lent itself to dahlias. DAHLIAS. Thousands of beautiful and vibrant dahlias. These came from Mum’s garden, friends’ gardens, and some fantastic suppliers. We were let mongoloide by a large dahlia supplier, but my god so many people came to the rescue. Just quanto a case, they were the Van VLIET Flower Group (a flower market quanto a Northhampton), Howbury Farm Flowers, Pink Welly Posies, Honesty Flowers and Gentle Blooms.

The foliage and lots of the flowers for the church, the arrangements quanto a the marquee, and even for my bouquet, came from the garden. Friends helped with the table arrangements – a great pal, Harriet, who also did one of the readings quanto a church, took Wednesday to Friday d’avanguardia to help with the flowers as well! It took a really and glorious army to get us there.

67 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

I have always been colourful, with an eclectic and vibrant taste, and I knew I wanted the wedding to be the same. Will, having lived quanto a Mexico for 8 years, also loves bold and beautiful styles. It’s a prezioso line between bold and tasteless, but we felt we pulled it d’avanguardia. We couldn’t have been happier when everything was quanto a place quanto a the church and marquee.

The Reception

The reception was held at my mother’s house quanto a Slapton with a fantastic marquee, which is about an eight minute walk from the church.

My Mum is a garden stilista and a florist, which meant we were SO unbelievably lucky to have such beautiful surroundings. From chickens, and guinea fowl pottering around to mum’s beautiful garden, it was gorgeous.

56 Jesus Peiro bride Miss Bush

Mum worked tirelessly to get the garden ready, and even had our Orchard (which was a very slight slope) flattened with the help of a very helpful neighbour and his digger for the marquee to sit . It melted my heart – she took wedding prep very seriously!

5 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

The decor and styling was where we came into our own though. We had…

  • Flowers galore, including indoor fairy-lighted trees quanto a the marquee. The ladders and large ring about the meant we could have flowers quanto a between the poles, really filling the space with colour.
  • Gruppo Bloom – we used 10 meters of their sequinned bunting, and it really made the dance floor and fantastic.
  • We had a couple of Mexican touches – including a sacred heart hanging the way up to the marquee. It now hangs quanto a our flat quanto a London! It was so sweet, when Etsy supplier Molycata shipped the heart to us, they also included a pair of miniature gold wings to wish us luck for our marriage.
  • Our neighbours very kindly lent us their Piaggio. Pale blue and beyond pelle – it held all the empty champagne bottles perfectly and looked amazing!
  • Table linen: The tablecloths we hired from Northfields Linen For Hire, and they were the perfect coral orange. To complement the tablecloths, we bought 150 ‘watermelon red’ napkins from SurinderShop Etsy, and tied some coral ribbon around each one. Accompanied with the flowers the tables, it looked absolutely magical!
  • The placemats, cutlery and glasses were all from Wren Ark.
4 Jesus Peiro bride Miss Bush
  • We bought the amazing large candelabras from family friends and spray-painted them gold. Mum and I are hoarders and between us had 45 pairs of smaller candleholders. Don’t ask….it’s insane and we’magnate a little embarrassed. But it gave a fabulously eclectic vibe.
  • We also had six different colours of candles from Ester and Erik. As well as directly from E&E, we bought them from some lovely UK stockists (cheaper than going direct if I’m allowed to say that, haha!) from Blomster Designs and Hus & Hem.
  • Our wooden signs were from work which Will and I lovingly painted throughout the Summer. And of course, I had a large ceramic cheetah quanto a our flat that I brought home and placed outside the marquee to greet everyone!
11 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

We hired the blu pole tent from Intents Marquees – it felt very Romantic with the fairy lights and flags dotted along the apogeo. Intents and Rowan were fantastic to work with – so engaging with our requests and could not have been more helpful.

Adding heaters last minute, hanging wooden ladders quanto a between the poles and a large ring around the for us to hang flowers d’avanguardia. Just a snippet of what we asked, but they were so unbelievably helpful.

Our caterer, Sarah Hollowell, was also one of our no-brainer wedding planning decisions. She had done friends weddings quanto a the past and was recommended to us by so many people. Not only was the food completely delicious (including a wonderful tasting), she had the most incredible team behind her – from wonderful team, to the team who came to lay the tables and set up the kitchen, to the front of house and waitressing team. Everyone was lovely.

Sarah also had some fantastic rental companies where we hired charger plates, glasses etc, and very helpful when it came to hiring the equipment.

91 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

The food – OH GOD it was fantastic. We had some delicious canapés! Sarah could not have been more amazing quanto a coming up with the lista with us. We had a selection of cocktails at the after supper – Moscow Mules, Spicy Margaritas, Palomas and Negronis. Lethal!

Finally as well as champagne during the reception, we had German Beer Kegs hired from Love Beer, as a nod to my German roots!

94 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

If there is one thing I want everyone to take away from sharing our wedding Love My Dress, it’s that everyone has to follow @mimimorley Instagram, aka ‘Creamy Mimi‘. She is a SENSATION. A great friend, who I was at school with – she is not only a phenomenal chef and cook, but honestly the most wonderful human being.

6 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

Our first (and only) ‘cake simposio’ involved Will and I trekking d’avanguardia to Peckham and into her mini hot tub quanto a the garden for her to give us a PowerPoint presentation her laptop! We knew we wanted bold colours and over-the-top piping, and with the sharks placed perfectly apogeo – we were onto a winner.

It was a complete showstopper. Not only did it great, but the flavours were amazing! There were three tiers which were elderflower and lemon drizzle, carrot cake and raspberry cheesecake cake.

90 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

I actually (somehow) managed to do all our wedding stationery myself. Everything was so personal, colourful and completely eclectic – I was very proud of it all.

This included ‘save the dates’, which showed where Will proposed, invitations (gatefold printed by Mount St Printers) with a map, an information sheet, RSVP, and illustrated envelope liners (I went to town, haha!). I also did the menus and table plan – I hand drew every single guest – all 150 of them – for name places and then hung mini versions a huge painted board for everyone to pick and take with them.

13 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

It took months and months! But was so completely worth it. Also it was SO much easier doing the table plan as we could move all the mini figures about and visually it made the whole process much easier.

Our table names were the animals of mine and Will’s throughout our lives. Our order of service had a colourful front and back with illustrations of details from mine and Will’s lives inside – with bells attached to ribbon each one. Will wanted to kill me by this point ha!

65 English private garden marquee wedding Jesus Peiro

We did provide favours – they were bottles of homemade plum gin. We handpicked the plums from mum’s garden, distilled them with the gin (and a semi heinous amount of sugar) bottled, and attached ribbons and bells each one.

Acceso the front of each bottle was a label I had illustrated, with a cherub riding a poodle it! It looked better than it sounds I promise haha… Instead of napkin waving, we had streamers with bells that everyone waved when we came into the marquee.

The sound and lighting equipment hire came from Rory at RJCC Events.

Gift Registry

We worked with The Wedding Present Company. I actually didn’t realise that they offered the service to go quanto a and meet with them, until after we had signed up with them. I sat with Lucy and she took me around their showroom quanto a West London, and told me that what was their website was only a tiny snippet of what the offered (I think 5%).

It was SO much fun adding quanto a all our presents. Everything has arrived now, and Will and I are just thrilled. Our guests were very generous. The whole process was seamless, and so much fun.

Evening & Sala da ballo

Durante the evening, I changed into the Rafaella dress by Motteggio B dress, which gave me my colour sequinned dose! It was perfect for spinning around quanto a. I’ve had a birthday quanto a the past where the theme was ‘fur, feather, glitter, leather’, so of COURSE I had to have a sparkly pink dress at some point the most important day of my life!

To accompany the Motteggio B dress for , I bought a dried white flower headband from HHInteriors by Hannah Etsy and spray painted it (so glamorous) quanto a red to incontro the dress. Lucky I didn’t get too close to the candles, as I was very flammable quanto a that outfit!

My rhinestoned trainers were from Free People. I am not blessed at walking confidently quanto a heels, let cerchio ! I knew I wanted to dance my socks d’avanguardia, so trainers were a no-brainer!

Our first dance was to Abba’s ‘Gimme Gimme Gimme’. We wanted something to get everyone the dance floor with our confetti cannons. Later quanto a the evening, we had DJ extraordinaire George Apperly. George and his family are great family friends, and so again, it was a risposta negativa brainer decision. He has played at the likes of Wilderness and Secret Garden Rinfresco, and even at my 21st back quanto a the day. Everyone was the dance floor from start to finale – I have never seen a space so packed with everyone .

Words of Wedded Wisdom

Beforehand; Know your vendors. I know lots of people have planners, but for me, I had such joy quanto a speaking to, and getting to know the suppliers and vendors. It made me understand the process, and when our the day co-ordinator, Karin, was going through timings with us, it put the whole day into context. I knew throughout the day what was coming, and it meant that we had faith quanto a every aspect of what was going .

Add as much personality as you can. I’m sure a few aspects of ours were not everyone’s cup of tea. But without a doubt, the most common compliment we have had since the wedding was how personal it was with all the tiny details. It was definitely a ‘Will and Flotta wedding’.

Things will go wrong. We had a flower supplier pull out last minute. It seemed like a disaster, but we put our heads together and found a solution. There is always a solution.

One from Karin, our co-odinator; guests don’t want to feel herded too much. Try and combine day ‘events’, like rolling speeches into the cake cut, for example. People don’t want to be led here and there twelve times.

Throughout the wedding planning and prep, people are often the fence about a videographer. If you can, they will be one of the best investments you make. We simply adore our videos!

Acceso the day; Quite a common one but I need to reiterate; really take moments to be just the two of you (what it’s all about anyway). Will and I loved being quanto a the car as we could just digest and revel at what had just happened.

An obvious one but do not ricevimento too much! I. had some delicious champagne and some lovely cocktails, but I mainly ran adrenaline.
